St Joseph Condominiums

KFK Group was one of the first developers to embrace the New Orleans Arts District and in 2001, KFK purchased a blighted warehouse, adjacent auto dealership and  uninhabited town homes. The renovation and new construction posed KFK with the challenge of maintaining the historical integrity of an existing structure while enhancing the overall architectural fabric. While portions of the building were completely renovated, a new copper-clad penthouse was constructed atop the building at the corner of St. Joseph and Carondelet streets.  KFK received the Historic District’s Merit award for its renovation and won critical acclaim for its innovative combination of modern “copper clad” penthouses and the beautifully restored original historic building.
