Completed in 2008, the historic Krauss department store was transformed by the KFK Group in an extensive, $70 million redevelopment.  The result was a premier upscale community of 122 luxury apartments, 111 upscale condominiums and over 25,000 square feet of  street-front retail. 1201 Canal’s highly visible location and success helped spur a major revitalization in the surrounding area.
